Torchwood is a syfy TV show that I am OBSESSED with! It’s a Doctor Who spin-off, so it’s got a lot of aliens and amazing sights.

The official description of Torchwood:

Founded by Queen Victoria in 1879, the Torchwood Institute has been defending Great Britain from alien hordes for 130 years. Though London’s Torchwood One was destroyed during the Battle of Canary Wharf, the small team at Torchwood Three have continued to monitor the space-time Rift that runs through Cardiff, saving the world and battling for the future of the human race.

During Post-Children of Earth, Jack is still devastated by his lover’s death and is trying desperately to get Torchwood back on its’ feet, with only two members to hold it together. Tegan, a lonely american girl, has just lost her missionary sister and only family, oversees in a small village. Not having enough money for a two-way trip, she plans to go to Cardiff, the neighboring city, and across the world and make her new life there. What happens when these two lonely and depressed survivors meet each other? And what happens to the over-active imagination of a Science fiction writer once she’s seen the impossible, been improperly retconed and possessed by an alien creature? How will these two impossible individuals find each other again?
